TLT advises WH Smith on Post office deal

TLT has advised WH Smith on its deal with The Post Office to relocate more of its branches into WH Smith stores.

The new deal lasts for ten years and sees WH Smith secure up to a further 61 Post Offices within its High Street stores, in addition to the 107 Post Offices it currently operates.

The commercial joint venture involved agreements for the operation of Post Offices within WH Smith stores, some by way of a franchise, run by WH Smith, and some under a concession arrangement, run by Post Office Limited.

The deal was led by Perran Jervis, supported by solicitor Emma Davies, with associate Emma Cork and partner Roger Clothier advising on property issues and partner Stuart McBride on Employment. CMS Cameron McKenna acted for the Post Office.
