On 21 September the inaugural YRes Conference, chaired by TLT's Sarah Green, brought together over 200 family lawyers to provide support, best practice and strengthen professional relationships at the start of their legal careers.
YRes was launched in 2015 by Resolution, the professional body for family law professionals in England and Wales who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters. The group provides support family lawyers with up to 10 years' experience, and now has more than 24 active local groups around the country.
Sarah Green, an associate in TLT's family team became National YRes Chair in 2015 and was elected to Resolution's National Committee in 2016.
Resolution’s Vice-Chair, Margaret Heathcote, said:
“The attendance here today is testament to the appeal of YRes and the need for this tailored support for those at the start of their career. I’m proud of the role Resolution has played in promoting the next generation of family justice professionals.
“Under Sarah’s leadership, and with the support of so many brilliant members she works with, I know YRes will continue to go from strength to strength.”
