Technology, media and telecoms partnerships

For over 15 years we have established long-term partnerships with industry bodies and other organisations in the TMT sector including:

Watershed logoWatershed is a social enterprise and registered charity. It is the leading film culture and digital media centre in the UK. Through programmes such as the Pervasive Media Studio and its REACT Partnership it has supported over 200 artists, creative companies and technologists on emergent ideas, experiences and applications in digital media. It has helped launch over 42 businesses, worked with nine to expand internationally and collaborated with seven universities on long-term programmes.
We have supported Watershed for over 12 years by providing training and mentoring to the innovative and entrepreneurial individuals and businesses they support. We work with these businesses as they grow, raise finance, expand internationally, exploit new markets and exit to start new ventures.

Engine Shed logoEngine Shed is a collaboration between Bristol City Council, the University of Bristol and the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership. It is at the heart of Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone. Their mission is to stimulate long term economic growth by supporting business, inspiring young people to get involved and to showcase to the public and potential inward investors the exciting opportunities that exist here. We have supported Engine Shed since its inception, providing advice and training workshop to early stage businesses. Jon Gill, Corporate Partner, is a Member of the Advisory Board to Engine Shed.

Set Squared logoThe SETsquared Partnership is the enterprise collaboration between the universities of Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey. Established in 2003 and funded by the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF), the Partnership is a focus for enterprise activity and new business creation for the five university partners.
As well as business creation, SETsquared also has a role in embedding entrepreneurial thinking and behaviour within the Universities that we support.
We have supported SETsquared since its creation in 2013 through a series of interactive training workshops and by providing advice to entrepreneurs on a wide range of corporate, commercial and governance issues. A number of TLT lawyers sit on SETSquared business review panels to provide ongoing guidance to businesses that are being supported at SETSquared.
